I have just recently purchased LandRollers, having been a regular inline skate user for a number of years, and today was my first fresh-air skate. What a great outing! We live in an acreage development in central Alberta, Canada, near Edmonton, and I am blading mostly on cold-packed pavement with numerous patches, cracks, and lots of small bits of road gravel and sand from winter road maintenance at this time of year. Most impressive was how they rode over the bumpy, rock and sand scattered areas. Care was necessary, of course, but I felt comfortable continuing to stride, a big improvement over traditional inline skates in this situation. I loved the stability and speed while striding on smooth stretches. Hills felt similar to inlines, slow and exhausting, but that was not a surprise. I tried them a couple of times in a gymnasium as well before the roads cleared - turning in confined spaces will take practice, and perhaps technique. They felt somewhat large and cumbersome using cross-overs to step around curves. All in all, for recreational fitness skating on imperfectly paved paths and unbusy roadways, I think they are an excellent product living up to claims and other reviews I have read.

I have had these now for about 2 weeks and the weather has been such that I have been able to get out about a dozen times so far in Feb/March. These are the blades I have been wating for. They are fantastic over sidewalks, going up the sloped curbs, rough pavement, and small gravel. They are by far the smoothest blades I have ever owned. I am now able to take my dogs for a blade from my front door rather than head to a bike path.

Please find photos attached of me "Landrolling" with my Border Collie dog (Elvis). It is the perfect pace for a dog since walking is too slow and cycling is too demanding - should anyone ask or should you wish to add that to your website. With the growing numbers of dog owners in this country, it will most likely become more and more popular as a training regiment. Photos taken in Lethbridge, Alberta in March, 2007.

I just wanted to say the Landrollers are FABULOUS! I am quite excited to get them out once it stops raining and the roads dry up! I have been going around and around inside my house to strengthen up. My dogs and cats think I've gone quite cuckoo!
Talk to you in the future, I am sure of that!

"I have wanted the LandRollers since I laid eyes on them. My mind immediately made sense of the design and I was thrilled. The LandRoller technology is amazing. I can maneuver beautifully. The LandRollers have rekindled my old love. Much thanks."

"I recently bought a pair and enjoy them so much, I must have these limited edition. Thank You"

"I hadn't skated in 23 years. I had never tried in-line skating. I saw Landrollers and knew I had to try them. I love 'em!! I think I'm responsible for several new sales for you guys! And my guess is you will have the entire market cornered in 5 years. BYE BYE INLINES!! "

"I received my LandRollers a week ago and I am already hooked. Since it doesn't snow in southern Louisiana, this will be a year round activity for me. I had in-line skates for 6 months, used them twice, and sold them yesterday. Growing up in the quad wheel skate era, I could not get used to the in line skate technology. With my LandRollers I actually feel like I have 4 wheels under each foot even though there are only two. I read all the testimonials on the website and gotta say, these skates are everything everyone else has talked about. I had the skates shipped to my office, and there are several people there that want to buy a pair. People stop me all the time wanting to know where I got these skates.
Thanks guys...I am having a blast!"

"It has been 1 full year since I recieved my LandRollers. These are the Greatest! My LandRollers are still in great condition and still performing at their best. I have no complaints and no worries for the future of my LandRollers. I'm proud to be a part of the LandRoller family and I am adding new fans every week! Thank You."

"I had to give up running because of the constant pounding on my spine, so I was looking for another aerobic activity I could do solo. I hadn't skated in ten years or more, but I took to these easily right from the box. They are so fun to use that it doesn't seem like exercise!!"

"Hey!! I love my skates!!! I was an inexperienced skater, then I tried Landroller skates!! Hours and hours of fun and exercise!! Still learning how...but enjoying every minute of the skating adventure!! Great product!!!"

"I just wanted to tell you how much I LOVE my new LandRollers!
After having outgrown my K2 rollerblades of 11 years, I did a lot of research into finding a suitable successor. LandRollers have, without a doubt, exceeded all expectations! As for speed, last Thursday it took me 40 minutes on my rollerblades to do 5 miles with my feet killing me during the last 2. The next day, my LandRollers came in and, on Saturday, I did those same 5 miles in 26 minutes! Also, the path I take has hard-packed gravel along the side for joggers to use if they wish. I decided to give the gravel a shot when the asphalt path was crowded...I cruised along while hearing people say, "Wow! Look at those!" Thanks, LandRoller! 5 Stars"

"I belong to a group called FrontRunners FT. Lauderale. A running/walking/skating club. This past sunday June 18th we were part of the StoneWall Parade. During the parade, I wore my LandRollers (while others used conventional skates). I couldn't believe the comments and inquires I got along the parade route. Couldn't take a step without someone asking about the LandRollers. It bought alot of attention to our club, which is what we want during the parade. So Thanks."

“I took them down to Hermosa this past weekend, and the response was overwhelming. People started crowding around before I even got them out of my car. All up and down the boardwalk, people asked about them and made comments. You have a good product on your hands.”

"Got'em..a little different feeling..but they roll soooo smooth. Great Job!"

“Since I put the Landrollers on I have not put another skate on my foot. They are just amazing… I have been skating in them on average twice a week, often more and of course on the Friday Night Skate and the Sunday Rollerstroll. I have been amazed at how fast these things are and cannot get over how much easier it is to go over rough city surfaces. Marshalling on the skates, I have noticed that my ability to speed back to the front of the skate (which all the marshalls do to block the streets as we go by) is much better on the Landrollers. I am absolutely blown away by how much abuse the wheels have taken after all the T stopping I’ve done…
I hope you’ll be able to get them in stores over here soon.”

“I received my LandRollers as a Christmas present, and a week later I had to go to Kuwait. I only had them for a week but in that time, I loved how well they fit and how they feel. Now that I don't have access to them it's all I can think about. Actually I'm having them shipped out here to me, when the day comes that I'll have them again, I doubt I'll spend much time wearing any foot wear except my LandRollers and my combat boots. These are a terrific invention.”

"I’m an ice skater so I’m a total whimp when it comes to bumps or cracks or anything on the road, but with these I feel more secure than my usual rollerblades, I don’t know why, it must be the bigger wheels but I feel safer going over bumps and cracks. It seems smoother and I like ‘em."

"I enjoy exercising and I really enjoy using the landrollers. I'm from Houston, Tx and I know that I am one of a few amount of people that own landrollers in Houston. I constantly get people looking at me like they have no clue what they are. I was landrolling along a path on a bayou and someone who was driving on a street along side the bayou rolled their window down and asked where I got my landrollers."
-Chris |
"I actually bought one (pair of LandRollers) already. I sent it to my brother's place in D.C and he FDEX'd it to Manila. It was well worth the extra expense! I LOVE YOUR PRODUCT! GREAT JOB!"

"I dare say I could be the only person in Australia with a pair of landroller!. Had a friend in the States send me them. This is my little story. I needed a new pair of skates and was going to buy some inlines. I saw the landroller web site months ago and thought why not think outside the square. Took the plunge and ordered a pair of mens Terra 9's. I was amazed and a little nervous unpacking them from the box, I imagine this is how quad skaters felt when they were first handed a pair of inlines 25 years ago. I have to say everything that the LandRoller people say is true. They took a little getting used to, but wow they are great. Lift the toe and turn on a dime, lift the right toe and the break lets out a howl as she bites into surface, how cool. Stability is so good you dont realise how fast your going, awesome.
Thankyou for a wonderful new skate. The LandRoller team will lead and we will follow, and I'll be on my landys; its the only way Im going to keep up. Way to go boys!"

"When my mom showed me a picture of a pair of LandRollers I just had to
have them. After I got them I started to skate in them everyday. At
first it was kind of hard because it was a lot different than my other
skates, but I got used to them pretty quickly. It is easier to go
faster with LandRollers in comparison to my inline skates. I improved
my time on a three mile course by almost four and a half minutes with
my LandRollers. Using my LandRollers a lot also helped my coordination
in other things, like Tae Kwon Do.
I'm so glad my mom got me
LandRollers!"

"I lost 10lbs in 2 weeks, no kidding! The simple joy of blading on the landrollers is like night and day compared to my rollerblades. You're just having so much fun you don't realize how much exercise you are getting."

"My husband LOVES his pair and we are going out along the river tonight. It's SO easy to skate and stop. These will be much better on my knees, which had taken a beating on the now badly worn asphalt roads in Central Park ."

"Yesterday, I took them out for a few hours around the city and enjoyed every minute. I loved the design of these skates because it was a smooth ride and they were very fast."

"I'm writing to tell you what an incredible invention and product I think you have. I grew up in the Palisades where I spent a lot of my time outdoors playing sports and engaging in activities like biking and rollerblading. I just recently purchased my first pair of LandRollers, and I love them! Not only am I enjoying my time on them, but it seems everyone around me is as well too. I have never seen people react with such a positive response as they have to my LandRollers. Pointing, commenting, taking pictures and asking questions. What a potential market!"
-Megan K. |
"I have to admit, I was somewhat intimidated by the design at first. After three days of Land rolling, I am extremely satisfied with this concept. The only problem is people keep stopping me to ask what they are and where can they get a pair."

"Just wanted to say thanks for designing a great pair of skates. Very comfortable ride - 10+ miles and no aching feet! Stability and ease of use are great - you can roll over a garden hose without performing the infamous 'face plant/yardsale'. Sharp turns take some getting used-to, but after you feel comfortable 'sliding' a bit, cornering is not an issue - this is as expected with larger wheels. Moist surfaces and leaves are difficult to get through because of the lack of traction with more narrow wheels, but you just have to use caution and common sense.
Overall - Great skate and great ride. I would highly recommend them over traditional inline skates!
Cheers!"

"I've bought your LandRollers. I'm probably the one and only in Norway who own a pair of LandRollers. I put a lot of effort in getting them. Finally I've got them. I've been waiting for these skates since I first read about them. Great skates. Love the design. Very up to date and futuristic design. AND eye catching. Comfortable boot.
Five stars from me. I highly recommend them to others out there wondering about getting a pair. You won't regret it. I don't."

"I can finally skate comfortably and safely in NH, where, if you find a flat spot you will find it covered with sand, gravel, mud, twigs, leaves or - very soon - snow. Waiting for the snow tires and studs you guys are surely creating for us!
Everywhere I go - this is my 5th state so far - people stop me and ask me to explain....
Keep rolling out the cool stuff."

"I just received my LandRollers yesterday on my 73rd birthday and the fit was great, just as you said it would be. In trying them out in the house I was a little dismayed that they didn't seem to steer too well. Today I took them out and tested them out in the parking lot at work and pretty soon I could turn pretty good. They felt so good that I took off for about a six mile run. By the end everything was feelin' good. I especially like the way they go over sidewalk cracks, pebbles and rough surface. I wanted to report back to you with the good news and to thank you for all the help and confidence you gave me in
getting the right size. Great product."
